Solar PV panel fault finding and repair

We offer a comprehensive solar PV reactive maintenance service, fault finding and repairs. The process is usually a visual inspection and multifunction instrument testing and diagnosis.

Several times in the very recent past in carrying out the above instrument tests we have identified serious mains power failures where the problem has not been the PV installation but a very serious issue external to the property.  Many have been less serious with failed generation meters so relatively inexpensive solutions. If you have problems with your PV it is imperative that you have it checked out ASAP as it could be a DC short which is a fire risk or it could even be a dangerous unreported external mains failure. In any event we will do what we can to get you up and running safely again.

Solar repairs and upgrades

You may find with 10 year old or even older PV panels that a good clean will get them producing remarkably well again and get you racking up those feed in tariff readings.  However the inverters lifespan can be circa 5 to 10 years and meters and other ancillaries even less, so this may mean it is time to upgrade your system with a state of the art intelligent inverter or even upgrade to battery storage system using a hybrid inverter and with the aid of a data logging dongle take control of your installation with the ability to see how much is being produced and where it is getting used and allowing you to control the battery system. You would be pleasantly surprised how the addition of battery storage would increase the efficiency of your system and allow peak time benefits.
